Introduction to Association for the Promotion of Advanced Information City (APADIC)
The APADIC was established in 1987 to promote the Advanced Information City concept that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has started to realize. It is composed of 63 private enterprises including computer, construction, iron and steel, electronic power, gas, and bank entities and 42 supporting local governments.
- Exchange of knowledge and technology related to concept promotion
(Research reporting meeting, seminar, lecture meeting, inspection meeting, and so on)
- Promotion and PR activity such as symposium, newsletter, etc.
- Research and study activity
- The APADIC has expanded to local core cities, and conducted study meetings in districts since 1991 (13 districts).
- The APADIC has conducted study meeting for each theme in order to examine/study and promote electronic systems.
- The APADIC has conducted study meetings by districts, focusing on extensive city corporation as an important activity aim.

- Owari-Tono broad area (1998)
- Higashi-Katsushika northern area (1997-1998)
- Lake Shinji, Lake Nakaumi broad city area (1998-1999)
- Nasu area (1999-2000)
- Ibaraki prefecture southern broad city area (1999-2000)
- Hanshin broad city area (2000)
