Technological development and verification experiment that is essential as platforms on the Internet
We developed and have been providing free software that is automatic filtering on text and image, depending on settings of your PC with Internet access. Our activities include operating data base service (label bureau) of rated contents of Web pages, which are based on the rating standard PICS (Platform for Internet Content Selection) of W3C.
We provide free filtering software (Server-Type Filtering System or SFS, and Redirector) which can block harmful materials on the Internet for Internet users such as parents, teachers or employers, and free self-rating software (Authoring Tool) for Web site creators.
Online services such as a shopping site collect personal data from users based on their purpose. It has been happening significant violations of privacy, including the misuse and leakage of privacy information. To change this situation, we developed a system that allows personal data, which is collected on the Internet, to be properly used within the range and intended purpose that users consent.
We provide free privacy management software (P3P tools) which enable website creators to disclose their privacy policies to users in a machine-readable and standardized form and to collect personal data from users based on their consent. Our software are based on P3P (Platform for Privacy Preferences) of W3C.
The Electronic Authentication System is the social system and the information system to carry out identification by trusted third party on the network. We conducted verification experiment of the development for the electronic authentication system and verification experiment to the service in the public sector and industry. It was the first to implement function of the certification in electronic commerce.
